Human Rights Education (HRE) Portal
All people, everywhere, are entitled to a basic set of rights.
We should all learn about current declarations of human rights, explore them with a critical lens, and have input in shaping our understanding of what rights are still missing.
UHRI advocates to implement comprehensive HRE in all grades. This effort comprises curating well-established human rights curriculum and lesson plans, and engaging teachers, students , administrators and families around taking action for human rights. Human rights education will empower even the youngest students, helping them learn to defend their rights and advocate on behalf of others.
The cornerstone of UHRI's HRE program is the HRE Web Portal, a database-driven web site containing the largest online collection of human rights educational curriculum, professional development materials and links to service learning opportunities.
